PAKISTAN HEALTHCARE SYSTEM

Pakistan is a developing country. It is attributed to the lack of access to basic healthcare services. Pakistan's healthcare service environment is challenged by the impact of poverty, changing burden of diseases and lack of access to quality health services especially for rural areas and lifestyles. In urban areas, access to health care facilities is not a problem, though the general state and quality of public services is poor. On the other hand, in rural areas, people live far from hospitals and basic care units. Illness pushes people into poverty through lost wages, high spending for treatment and recurring.

Talking about immigrants in Pakistan, based on the United Nations report, the total immigrant population in Pakistan represents approximately 2.1% of the national population and ranked 13th in the world. People who migrate have now formed large communities and should bring to highlight. The government neglects them, and they end up threatening the policies of the country. Immigrants also have a right for an enough and friendly healthcare system. Nowadays, coronavirus has taken over the country. There is a complete lockdown in the country, and it is quite obvious that either elderly people, adults, children, pregnant women or disabled community still need to visit to hospitals and clinics for regular check-ups and treatment. Their contact with the doctor is necessary. So, through this website and application I want that the approach shall become easier at least. Although there are NGOs and non-governmental organizations that deal with the problems of immigrants but on low scale. Though this project we can reach to the larger number of people. Especially, people living in slums, the transgender community, people living in villages or even in urban areas.
